To showcase the future of value-added services in payments, a showroom was built to demonstrate end-to-end solutions including loyalty, contactless payments, analytics, and mobile point-of-sale. The objective was to reposition payments from being purely transactional to serving as a driver of engagement, insight, and growth for merchants and consumers.
I managed the showroom’s operations and long-term sustainability. This included creating guides and training materials for equipment, preparing students to run ongoing demonstrations, and enabling sales teams to engage confidently with clients. When key merchants and telecom partners visited, I personally led demonstrations that highlighted how payments could differentiate providers and fuel customer loyalty.
The solutions featured in the showroom included coalition loyalty platforms like Binfinite Loyalty in Malaysia, contactless innovations such as Orange Cash in France, real-time merchant dashboards through Orange Analytics, and Wirecard’s mobile point-of-sale system. Together, these examples illustrated how payments could enable new revenue streams, reduce integration costs, and empower merchants with actionable insights.
The showroom proved to be more than a one-off installation. By developing playbooks, training programs, and reusable assets, I ensured it became a living demonstration space that consistently impressed clients and supported sales efforts. The results underscored a powerful shift: payment providers could position themselves not just as infrastructure, but as enablers of digital ecosystems that create lasting customer relationships.
