At Wirecard, I led the backend migration of the company’s ePOS platform, a flagship solution designed to unify in store, mobile, and online payments. The program transitioned more than 13,000 clients from the legacy acceptSDK to the modern ePOS SDK, modernizing backend architecture while maintaining uninterrupted payment processing across Europe.

The challenge was twofold: replace fragmented, outdated systems with a scalable, omnichannel platform and introduce advanced fraud prevention and analytics without disrupting live transactions. I partnered with engineers to translate legacy functionality into new object models, developed phased merchant migration strategies, and prepared support teams with service catalogs, risk registers, and incident workflows. I also worked closely with risk management to embed real time fraud controls and analytics into the backend.

The migration delivered measurable impact: no major service disruptions during cutover, stronger fraud detection, improved onboarding and transaction monitoring, and a scalable backend architecture that positioned Wirecard for global growth in omnichannel payments.

This project reinforced my ability to lead complex technical migrations under regulatory pressure while aligning global teams. It highlighted the importance of balancing continuity with innovation, ensuring merchants gained new capabilities without sacrificing stability or trust.
